The central figure in my mural design is a Tiger Godmask. Godmasks come from a mythical world I created called the Land Of Thunderbirds. In this mythology, Godmasks grant power to anyone who wears them. In my life, I have struggled with self-confidence. The Godmask offers an alternative path. The image of the roaring tiger is meant to inspire and be an example of how we can approach life, with boldness and confidence.
This project was produced in partnership with The City of Wauwatosa, Wallpapered City LLC, and BelAir Cantina for the North Ave Mural Project which included six murals during the summer of 2019.
The project was a part of a series of public art installations along the North Avenue corridor in Wauwautosa, Wisconsin creating the North Avenue Mural Arts District (NoMAD).
